New statutory instrument
New regulations have been issued in relation to the closure of the Covid-19-related statutory sick pay (SSP) rebate scheme for employers.
In force from 17 March 2022, the Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2022 (SI.No.176/2022) amend the Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Funding of Employers’ Liabilities) Regulations 2022 ( SI.No.5/2022) and the Statutory Sick Pay (Coronavirus) (Funding of Employers’ Liabilities) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2022 (SI.No.9/2022) so as to end employers’ ability to reclaim SSP costs for coronavirus-related absences which occur after 17 March 2022.
