Mobility car when DLA stops

If someone is awaiting a DLA appeal and the DLA runs out during this waiting period, can anything save the motability car?

Many moons ago had a similar case. Client came to arrangement with Motability Unit where they paid the costs whilst their appeal was heard.

Thanks - seems the only course of action.

I spoke to motability about a similar case and was told that they allow the car to continue for a maximum of 6 months from date of appeal. This supposedly allows time for the appeal to be heard.
