UC Regs now published
The final UC regs are now available.
These correct the odd spelling mistake, make very minor textual clarifications and correct a couple of defective cross-references at reg 28(3) and Sched 4 para 11(1).
I don’t think there are any substantial changes.
This means that the issue with bedroom tax for joint renters identified here ..

I think that also means reg 29 (taken with reg 27) is still amibiguous with respect to carer element for joint claimants who both have LCW.
And no mechanism has been introduced to alleviate the 4/week-good, 5/week-bad effect for weekly paid workers. (Apparently, this will be looked again but not until sometime after October.)
The fact that so little has changed could be taken as good news (more time to get the IT ready) or bad news (can’t change anything because the IT cannot handle it).
It will be interesting to take a look a the UC guidance - does anyone know when that’s expected?
