Appeal concerns whether client should have been sanctioned at all (Dec 2011) - bear in mind I haven’t even met her yet - but it’s also clear that once sanctioned she stopped looking for work/signing on.

I’m fairly certain I can recall a recent(ish) UT decision to the effect that in order for JSA to become payable once a sanction period ends, a claimant is not required to actively seek work/sign on during the period when they are subject to a sanction (decision may also have said something to the effect that not having sought work/signed on whilst subject to a sanction is not a bar to entitlement/payability for a period when tribunal reduces length of sanction) - but I’m damned if I can find it now.

Any pointers most welcome.
