According to Zoe at Coventry CAB - ‘If I’ve read the numbers for November 2023 right, total UC claimants was 5,362,860, when there were 14,520 work coaches, 3,600 case managers and 1,900 decision makers. So rough case load of 370 claimants for each work coach; 1,490 for each case manager and 2,820 per DM’?

As part of a meeting a couple of weeks ago, I asked the DWP rep how the massive speeding-up of Move to UC and the introduction of the ‘Enhanced Support Journey’ can possibly be reconciled with the alleged recruitment crisis in the department.

I’ll share any reply.
