cl is British, husband is from the Dominican Republic with NRTPFs. Cl is being made redundant at the end of the month and expects to received circ £12k in PILON and £2k in accrued holiday pay ( no redundancy payment).  Husband earns circ £1430/mth net of tax and NI.
Cl has a joint tenancy with three other people, including their husband with total rent of £1630/ mth.

If the cl was to make a claim for UC ( joint but with appliable amount based on a single person) would their husband’s income be classified as earned income with a work allowance applied or is their net earnings classified as other income with no taper applied?
Am I correct in thinking that eligible rent for the cl would be £407.50/mth i.e. £1630/ 4, with no amount being allowed for their husband’s share of rent?

Lastly, re end of work payments, if cl waits until after their PILON and accrued holiday pay has been paid before claiming UC, presumably the amount of circ £14k in their bank account will be taken into account when calculating tariff income ?

Many thanks for your thoughts
