Various barristers on Twitter reporting that, following on from the PM’s announcement yesterday, barristers will no longer be attending court.

In the absence of clear leadership from @MoJGovUK, the Bar has been forced to take the decision for itself.

The shambles in communication from the top of the justice system continues apace.

“advice going out from all Circuit Leaders is NOT to attend Court tomorrow for any hearing. If you need to conduct a hearing tomorrow do so remotely.  Only in truly exceptional circumstances would it ever be ‘essential’ to attend any type of hearing in person tomorrow.”
