capital disregarded ESA

my client has inherited a house £120.000 and has used money from a trust fund for PI to renovate it £60.000, she is on IR ESA, the house is not registered with the land registry, is it correct the value will be disregarded until it gets land registry confirmation ???

A longer answer is that the value might be disregarded for up to 26 weeks (or longer if reasonable), via two possible routes:

If you are carrying out essential repairs or alterations which are needed so that you can occupy a property as your home

or

If you have acquired a property and intent to live there as your home but have not yet moved in
