New social care rates published
Local Authority Circular (DHSC) (2023) 1 has been published in February 2022 with increases for the income thresholds in the financial assessment in line with inflation. The capital limits remain the same as the previous financial year.

When I checked some of the numbers in this it looks like some of the thresholds have increased by slightly less than the 3.1% CPI used for benefit uprating. It looks like some have been increased using 3.01% which would mean a slight disadvantage to the charge payers. Mind, that’s nothing in the context of no increase in the thresholds between 2015 and last year.
