Jointly held savings account with child
Our client is wanting to claim UC however he has a jointly held savings account with his dependent child. The amount held is over the capital limits at £18k. As the capital in theory can be equally accessed by father and son will it be treated as a 50/50 split between father and son when working out portion of capital which is our clients ownship?
