Improving safeguarding for looked-after children

Department for Education is consulting on its proposals to amend the existing regulations to ensure that where looked-after children are placed out-of-authority in distant placements, they are effectively safeguarded and their welfare is promoted - the deadline for responses is 17 September 2013.
