Can you change your WP provider?

I met someone today who did not seem entirely happy with the service provided by his work programme provider.  In fact, he’s rattled through seven different advisers so far, and he hasn’t found one he liked, if you can imagine such a thing.

He was keen to know if it was possible to change over to another provider, in the hope that things would be different.

My understanding is that people are assigned at random but are then stuck with what they’ve got.  I haven’t found anything to suggest you can switch, but instead have to make the best of it taking into account complaint processes, the Equality Act, and all that.

Does anyone know any better?  Many thanks for your time.

Withdraw the consent to share data as per http://refuted.org.uk/2013/10/12/withhold. Be very clear on the reasons why in order to avoid being branded as merely uncooperative.

Also bear in mind there’s a legal obligation to not impose anything detrimental to job seeking activity. That’s a powerful argument if true.
