anyone used this regularly?

I have a client who has been claiming income support as a carer for some time and is returning to work soon.

the client doesn’t really have any contact with jcp due to him being a carer and so he doesn’t have an adviser.

could I get him access to this for assistance with tools to help him get back to work?  he actually has a job offer and start date.

Hi,

I have been looking into this today too.

The only reliable information I have been able to find so far is on CAB advice guide website and DWP website

http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales/work_w/work_self-employed_or_looking_for_work_e/government_employment_schemes.htm

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/support-to-help-with-the-cost-of-transport/support-to-help-with-the-cost-of-transport#support-for-the-unemployed

Says that the scheme is discretionary and available if you are not in the work programme (and presumably not entitled to a Budgeting loan?)

Did you manage to find anything else out? And what happened with your client?

Thanks.
