can anyone point me in the right direction quickly in terms of tracking down info about the disability guarantee and conversion from IS to Tax credits.

client has recently had to make a claim for Tax credits as he was still being paid under the old IS rules, however his new amount has been reduced significantly from old amount - he is losing the disability guarantee of £22.89.

Should he be transitionally protected?

Cant find any specific reference to the disability guarantee and got clients coming out of my ears hence the time restriction…..

Thanks in advance
Dominic

If a child gets High Rate Care, then tax credits should include the ‘severely disabled child element’, which is worth the same as the disability guarantee (aka enhanced disability premium).
