We have a client who has had their IS payments withheld by DWP since April due to query over ILF payments and whether they can be disregarded.

A DWP DM decision last year in error decided ILF payments were income and Social Care funding was capital - this has now been corrected and the original DM at previous benefit centre has emailed the new IS team to say ‘please don’t suspend this claim’ - the reviewing benefit centre have still not corrected decision and are now looking at closing claim!

A further urgent call back request made this morning - we are not hopeful this will be made…....

Suggestions please….....?

I have direct dial numbers for customer representative groups for new claims for glasgow northgate benefit centre and for change of circumstances for clydebank benefit centre. If either of those would be any good to you if you don’t get your call back i can e-mail them to you.
