Not getting through to Pension Centre?
Is anyone else really struggling to get through to the pension centre to make a PC claim?
We are now on our 6th plus attempt. You can get through to the initial new claim helpline no problem (sometimes a bit of a wait), but they have to transfer you through to the pension centre itself once they know the person meets the eligibility criteria. If no one picks up the phone, you have to call back. There is no waiting system. This is driving us mad and logistically difficult as we only have so many appointments, so many hours etc.
Does anyone have the paper form or another suggestion?
Hi HFCAB - we also have recurring problems with the PS, sometimes ok , other times waiting ages
I downloaded a Pension Credit (PC1) claim form from the NHS site below ( as the GOV site no longer offers this option) :
https://www.nhs.uk/.../Documents/pension-credit-claim-form.pdf
I also use the form when the PS refuse to take a protective claim to PC from a client over the phone
That link doesn’t seem to work - try this - https://www.nhs.uk/CarersDirect/moneyandlegal/otherbenefits/Documents/pension-credit-claim-form.pdf
Thanks both. Will just do a paper form I think to save our sanity.
