Please help Lasa make the case for its welfare rights services
London Councils is currently running a consultation on their Grants Scheme, and we would be grateful for your help in arguing that our services – including rightsnet – meet their priority areas, that include the relief of poverty.
The deadline for responses is Friday 8th April.
Currently, two of four commissioned Lasa services have been accepted as being pan-London and meeting London Council’s priorities and as a result have been placed in an A* category. These are Policy & Voice and ICT Services.
However two of our other services, Welfare Rights Support Services, and Advice Support Project, whilst having been accepted as pan-London, have not been accepted as meeting London Council’s priorities. As a result they have been placed in an A category.
We would therefore be grateful if you could help us in responding to the consultation, arguing for the categorisation of all Lasa services in the A* category in order that funding is continued, and the services can be considered for future funding in the new scheme.
There is a briefing available which contains suggestiosn for how to complete the consultation, but please feel free to draft your own response as well - London Councils Consultation: Help us in making the case for Lasa services
Thanks in advance for any help that you can give us with this consultation, it is very much appreciated by all at Lasa.
