recon decisions on extinct UC awards
I’ve always expected to see this and I’m wondering if it’s much of a problem.
Cl requests late recon on an LCW determination.
Cl hits State Retirement Age
No case manager assigned to the contract any more and 6 months later no recon decision.
Is this much of a problem?
I don’t know about that specifically but I certainly had an issue getting arrears of LCWRA paid after the appeal took place and the client was well past SRP age. Had to complain in the end after 3 months of non-payment following the tribunal decision. Am imagining it was the same issue - no live case, no allocated case manager, nothing done with the tribunal decision.
Again, not exactly the same but I’ve got one about to hit retirement age and it looks like there will be no WCA before then so he misses out on several months of LCWRA element.
Yes, had similar issue. Had to use of the CPAG JR PAP letters to kick up a fuss as no one was assigned to look after the claim, following claim closure.
