I have a client who is 75 and in receipt of DLA high rate mobility. He now has care needs as well as mobility needs. If he requests a supersession of his award to receive the care component as well, is there any danger he could be made to apply for PIP? He was over 65 in 2013 but I am not clear that it is impossible for the DWP to look at PIP when the client themselves requests that their claim is looked at again.

I can’t see how because he is not entitled to claim PIP?
