Carers allowance and EEA disability benefits
I am reading in Benefits for Migrants at page 302 that there is a case at the Upper Tribunal called CG/1346/2018 on the question of whether a disability benefit from another EEA state may provide sufficient foundation for a Carer’s Allowance claim.
Just wondering really if anybody knows more info about this case or when a decision is expected.
I have clients in a similar position and will be considering speculative CA claims/appeals…
No news on the case but it may have been heard close in time to case with similar issues CE/480/2018 - relating to invalidity benefit claimed in EU determining date of claim for ESA so could be due any day now? (rightsnet summary published on 2 January)
