Sad passing of a regular member- Jonathan McKendrick
I want to share the sad news of Jonathan’s passing, which was last Monday.
Many of you may remember him as a ‘fiesty’ character, which was true of him in real life as well.
Sadly Jonathan had been battling against cancer for just over 2 years, but even during his own battle, he continued to fight the battle of others for as long as he could.
He leaves behind his wife Ann and 2 daughters.
Ann has given me permission to post this, so I hope you can join me in expressing our sadness at her and her families loss and the loss to the community of a Welfare Rights Advocate.
Sorry to hear about Jon passing away, thoughts to family, friends and colleagues.
Is that J.McKendrick whose Rightsnet profile refers to Phoenix/NORCAS? Very sorry indeed to hear that, what a dreadful thing to happen to someone with a family at this time of year. Condolences to them all.

Hi HB - yes it is the one and the same.
We had worked together for a number of years and he was a true character!
That is so sad, and at this time of year too. My condolences to his family and friends.
Very sad news indeed and we send our condolences to his family and those who worked with him
