You will never retire
UK state pension age increase from 67 to 68 to be brought forward by seven years to 2037, government says
BBC report says changes will affect folk in 2039 not 2037.
Work colleague is 67 in 2037 and direct gov SRP page says he will retire then.
Maybe the govt havent updated the direct gov website in line with this?
Or have the BBC got it wrong (surely not!)
Still a disgrace either way though.
BBC states will be phased in between 2037 and 2039, so not entirely sure?
Just did a test on Directgov. 2037 retirement dates = 67 years old at the moment

Just let me be smug for a little while that I was born in Feb 1970 - so it’s still 67 - for now!

They’ll need to get any change through Parliament - so could be a bit early to update.
ive grown up and live in a constituency with one of britain’s lowest life expectancy rates so ive wrote it off anyway.
