CPAG migrants handbook references DMG 16/15 as giving guidance to decision makers about acquiring a permanent right to reside through five years lawful residence as a jobseeker.

However, the Decision makers’ guide: memos: staff guide doesn’t have a copy anymore.

Anyone know what’s happened to it? Has it be subsumed into the main guidance manuals?

Any ideas about establishing PRR for 68-y/o refugee with Swedish nationality who appears to have signed on for JSA from 2010 to 2013 until he reached 65 at which point his wife started claiming JSA/HB and who subsequently appears to have failed GPoW so everything stopped.

She’s gone back to Sweden with two youngest British children and client’s stayed here with older Swedish child. Now in temporary accommodation and social services don;t want to know. I think he could claim Pension Credit and HB but I’d imagine it’s going to take some time to convince them of PRR so any additional weight to the argument would be helpful.

Yeah .. looks like it happened in Oct 2015

“... new paragraphs 073166 – 073173 GPoW & Extended Periods of Sickness - incorporates Memo DMG 18/15 and paragraphs 073414 to 073443 regarding Permanent Residence incorporates Memo DMG 16/15 in Chapter 7, Part 03.”

Hi Paul,

I have attached the DMG referred to. Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer as to why it is no longer available.

With regards the query, need more information I suspect on dates of arrival and chronology of their qualified status throughout.

Thanks MMiah, as you’ll have seen above, Shawn has found where the memo has gone now (for reference, it’s para 073428 that covers acquiring PRR through 5 years as jobseeker).
