In-Work Conditionality
“The in-work service promises progress in finally breaking the cycle of people getting stuck in low pay, low prospects employment.” (Frank Field)
Much greater progress would be made by outlawing zero-hours contracts!
In-work conditionality will just make people’s lives more difficult.
It takes a special kind of idiot to think that what people “stuck in low pay, low prospects employment” need is threats.
Sadly, the woods are full of them.
I wonder if work coaches will advise claimants to go on strike for better pay!?
Always thought Frank was like one of those Japanese soldiers emerging from the jungle after 60 or 70 years unaware that one war has ended and that multiple others have since taken place; no clue as to who the sides are any more or which side he’s on. A bit like Nick Robinson he has an authoritative sounding voice but knows nothing about nothing.
