Freepost DWP Universal Credit Live
Good afternoon.
UC helpline advised us to send proof of housing costs to:
Freepost DWP
UC Live
No address, no postcode.
Trying to work out how to send documents registered post. Any ideas?
Looks wrong to me but the Royal Mail do issue short addresses
The typical address would usually look like something like the example below as I’m sure you know:
Universal Credit,
FREEPOST PLUS RTEU-LGUJ-SZLG,
UC Post Handling Site B,
Wolverhampton,
WV99 1AJ.
‘UC Live’ sounds like a nauseatingly upbeat TV show.
“So, Kevin, can YOU name all the jobs on the conveyor belt? And remember, failure means loss of benefit!”
“Only a 91 day sanction, diddnee do wellllll?”
I think I’ve ‘spotted’ the perfect host for said show.
UC helpline officer would NOT give another address. It’s new I guess. Royal Mail confirm it is genuine address and can be used. We paid extra for recorded. I wonder if we will find out where exactly it arrives.
Good to know.
It is a better address - much easier to remember.
I can imagine you will only receive a copy of the signature on the track and trace
We email UC Housing Team with proof of tenancy details. No problems experienced (so far)
Does that mean it’s not going via the Wolverhampton handling site?
Just to add to the confusion, I thought I’d check with UC helpline and the lady(who did confirm with a colleague) said it was longer than that- and proceeded to give the usual Post Handling Site B address- but did say should add “UC Live” to it
