Hi,

Client made a PIP claim months ago and was claiming IR JSA. about a month ago he ended JSA claim and claimed IR ESA. He has just been awarded PIP enhanced DL.

Can he get the premiums backdated on the JSA claim? I’ve looked at p240 in CPAG but none of of those scenarios seem to apply.

Many thanks

Jane

A similar one from memory went:
Contact JSA (you may need to request call back from section as the claim will show as closed to telephony)
Fax them PIP award and ask that them to calculate & pay arrears.
They will send their equivalent of an IS10 form out to check clients status.
Once sorted they close again. Sorted
Mind, that was before the darkness descended on DWP
