Hi
If someone has a sanction on their JSA, do they also lose their Housing Benefit & Council Tax Benefit?
Have read info on DWP site re this not being the case due to pressure on administration process, but it only makes reference to
one particular reason for sanction.

I think they would remain entitled to maximum housing and council tax benefit as they are treated as being on income based JSA-Have a look at CPAG Welfare benefits and tax credits handbook pages 416 or Housing Benefits Reg 2 (3)-I hope I have interepreted this correctly.

Yes, I agree, you are still treated as being on income-based JSA even when you are not being paid it due to a sanction. Maximum HB/CTB should still be paid

The job related sanction regime for JSA has absolutely no bearing on HB/CTB and HB/CTB is calculated in the normal manner if the sanction was for CON/JSA.  Actual income against applicable amount.  And if it was for IB/JSA then gathoni is correct.
