Not sure where to post this question really!!! just been to see a client who informs me that her housing benefit has been stopped due to the benefit cap even though one of her children gets DLA.

Now i was under the impression that if anyone in the household got DLA they were exempt from the benefit cap am i right ?? or am i having a senior moment.

If this was known to the local authority they should not have applied the cap.  In any event, the first step would be to point it out to the LA.

Thanks guys glad to know i am not loosing the plot completely !! Have been in touch with LA and they looking into it.
