Just received CPAG poster benefit rates.  What is the £68 housing costs contribution? I thought you just applied the lower work allowance taper if claimant had housing costs and included costs in applicable amount. Am I missing something?
Also does anyone know when Quick Benefits update will be issued to include UC?

Housing cost contribution (HCC) is the UC equivalent of non-dependant deduction.

Thanks. Is that one fixed amount per non dependent ?
It sounds a lot..it is going to be difficult to adjust to monthly figures!

Yes - flat rate : about 15.69 a week.  Members of ND couples will each have a separate HCC made.

NDs under 21 and NDs responsible for a child under 5 will have no HCC. There are various other differences from legacy benefit NDDs.
