Hi All

Could someone please confirm the current direct deduction rates for repayment of benefit fraud and non-fraud.

CPAG p1080 says it is £14.40 and £10.65 respectively but DWP state this is wrong.

Thanks in advance, Chaos

Hi

Regulation 3 of Social Security (Recovery) (Amendments) Regulations 2012/645 amends Regulation 16 (5) Social Security (Payments on Account, Overpayments and Recovery) Regulations 1988/664.  It substitutes the figure of 5 x 5% of the personal allowance for 25 and over for 4 x 5% in fraudulent cases.
