Severely Mentally Impaired (SMI) Exemptions
Tue 11-Jul-06 11:52 AM

It's hot and I can't read because of the heat shimmer. Somebody please give me an easy answer.

Does Incapacity Benefit (credits) count as a qualifying benefit for SMI purposes?

I know I'm lazy...

Ah bless have you looked it up yet lazy? I know the feeling.

Just done quick check, i beleive the answer is no. ICB Credits arent on the list. I have checked the CPAG CTax handbook page 95/96.

Mind you the sun is getting to me now so you may want to double check!

No. It's still hot and it was a public holiday yesterday, now I'm stuck here. Sigh.

Still that's a bit rum. Means my punter will have to wait to hear about her DLA, the DP will probably come through on her IS first after all it's only a year away!

Thanks Saff
