ASA Advicenow is carrying out research on the potential for ‘self-help’ or ‘how to’ information resources for clients dealing with welfare benefits problems.
We think of ‘how to’ resources as information which has a significant ‘guide to action’ component which can help clients to manage some aspects of their problem themselves. ‘How to’ resources include step by step guides to processes, sample letters and forms, tips on how to prepare for an event such as an interview or hearing, and where to get more information, advice or support.
So if you provide information and/or advice to the general public in England and Wales and have any experience or views on self-help materials we’re keen to hear from you. If you’re interested in taking part in a telephone research interview, please email Mark Sefton at masefton@clara.co.uk with your contact details, including a direct line phone number.
Thanks!
