hi,

In calculating HB is CTC always counted in full or can any element be disregarded e.g. a disability element?

Generally yes, you will be looking at the Childcare element for a disregard, assuming the rest of the case your dealing with is ok.

Hi

I hope this is what you are looking for, When calculating H&CTB, you have to take all the income and then apply a disregard IE earnings.

With regard to the Disability element you would initially have to use the full CTC including the disability element, this would then be offset by the disabled premium when calculating the Applicable Amount, (all bar a couple of pence).
