Guidance for tribunal chairs
Tue 06-Sep-05 01:11 PM

we believe that there has been a circular issued to chairs regarding right to reside cases, and further that there may be a regular guidance circular to assist in dealng with various issues.

Has anyone any idea what it's called, who publishes it and whether it's available anywhere on line.

I think there is some sort of regular circular, but I've never seen it. The TAS website has a password protected area for judicial members which

"is being developed to provide regular updates of current law and legislation relevant to the work of members in tribunal and to enhance their skills; additionally it is designed to foster a greater sense of common purpose among Members widely scattered across the United Kingdom."

Seems a likely place to find the guidance. Any chairs reading this who'd like to leak anything? Or anyone who has the skills to hack in? (That's not a serious question!)

I would guess that all right to reside appeals will shortly be stayed. I've got about 20 cases on their way to Commissioner and there must be others elsewhere.

Spoke to our District Chair this morning, who hadn't seen any guidance about right to reside cases.
