tax credit third party consent
Do tax credits not accept forms/letters of authority? I swear it’s been fine in the past.
Just got told I couldn’t speak on behalf of a customer because there was nothing showing ‘on the screen’. I asked them if a letter authorising my involvement with the customer’s signature and my details on had been received and scanned on to the account and the guy I was speaking to said he couldn’t check that without authority. I asked how could he check the authority without seeing the authority letter. He said he couldn’t see the letter without authority first. He then hung up on me.
Does it have to be done on the TC689 form?
Cheers!
[ Edited: 29 Jun 2020 at 12:14 pm by JAS1 ]The general line has been that it needs to be on a TC689, yes. HMRC tends to be much stricter than DWP or SSCSA.
If your organisation is registered with HMRC, you can submit authority online (so long as you have signed TC689 on file)
ah ok fair enough, I must have just got lucky previously! Will use the TC689
Cheers tbidmead i will look in to that.
Thanks
