Full service roll out delayed?
And whenever an advance payment is received, it doesn’t solve the inherent problem that waiting 6 weeks for contribution towards housing costs being met means people inevitably and invariably find themselves in rent arrears from the off.

General Gauke has a bit of a problem. The heavy cavalry are already charging downhill towards the guns….....
Apparently delaying roll-out of UC would stop 250,000 more people getting a job - from Hansard yesterday
He does say literally that 250,000 people will get ‘a job’.
Biggest Jobshare Ever.
think he means it will preserve 250.000 dwp jobs,oh and one Govt Minister job
Maybe the Sec State has not had the last word…
Mr Gauke
“It is important that people filling in forms receive the necessary support, but jobcentre staff provide that support. Voluntary organisations may be able to assist, but Jobcentre Plus staff are already giving the intensive support necessary to help people to complete the applications.”
above quote From Hansard, My local Job Centre this week first told a client to claim by phone for UC, when the client found out that does not work and went back to job centre they sent the client round to Citizen’s Advice for help !!!
Is the “Transition Rollout Schedule” dated July 2017 (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/universal-credit-transition-to-full-service) the latest definitive list?
I ask because it still includes North Kensington which has UC roll out delayed and because I wonder if the commencement order has different or less jobcentres.
Its difficult to tell the jobcentres from the commencement order which is in postcodes
Is there anyone to ask?
Thanks
Clive
