Help with bodiley functions
This is serious
I had a client with multiple personalities and other disorders.
She is in the Suport Group of ESA so is quite ill.
In a DLA application it became apparent that she lacked a lot of motiovation. However that motivation was provided by one of her other personalities who would encourage her to do things.
Question is does that count as help from another person with bodily functions if it came to appeal?
hi.
sorry to say i don’t think her own promptings will count as help from another person. however, you do say she’s quite ill and in support group for esa. does that mean that, even with these promptings, she’s not able to look after herself properly? if so, you could still perhaps argue that she needs attention from someone else, either to help her do things or stop her doing things that inhibit her ability to look after herself.
otherwise, there might be the supervision route - does she need someone to be aorund to make sure she doesn’t put herself at risk of harm, or harm anyone else?
cheers ros
thanks for the posts
