Mike Hughes - 19 October 2021 11:49 AMBC Welfare Rights - 19 October 2021 11:33 AMPossibly, but not from the broken door. What I really need is a joiner who doesn’t charge the equivalent rate of a distinguished QC.
Make sure you ask for ID :)
Had I been awake enough I would of course have suggested that your joiner should be made to stand outside your door with a copy of Joiners Magazine just in case they did a runner.

we had one where the client wanted to add a child to the claim and uc required a photo with him and the child outside their open front door…..like he couldn’t just ‘borrow’ a child?

I cannot for the life me imagine why they keep qualifying DWP accounts decade on decade.
Further to our story on Friday, now being picked up elsewhere:

- Independent: ‘Dystopian’ benefits policy demands claimants take photos of themselves with local newspaper
And another one from the Mirror:

It’s utterly stupid, do these people even stop and think about what they’re doing for a solitary minute?

But nonetheless have asked for a photo of the claimant touching the street sign, which reinforces Paul’s point on the stupidity of it.
