Parking at the Rochdale appeal vennue
I got my first ever parking ticket during my first F2F at Rochdale. The town hall car park HMCTS’s website suggests is closed.
Anyone know where I can park and it won’t cost me £35?
It’s called a “tram” 😊
It’s called a “tram” :)
Trams don’t go to Stockport and likely never will.
You’ll have a shiny new bus station soon though. Plus the kudos of allegedly being the most hip and up and coming part of GM. I think that translates as “not as **** as it used to be”. 😊
I’m sure someone will think that Stockport and Rochdale ought to be connected 😊
Hip hasn’t reached South Reddish yet 😊
It’s been fun listening to all the cheering at Bramhall Lane though; I’m missing it!
Get yourself a bicycle Dan, nice little ride there and back will help keep the waistline in order as well mate.

An 18 mile ride is a bit much for the morning commute! I’d certainly lose the excess…
I wouldn’t recommend that specific 18 miles on a bike unless armed with masks and prepared to go into battle for “Andy’s” Clean Air Zone.
Hi Dan. If you are looking at the Town Hall there is a pub on the left called the Flying Horse. The road past that leads to a cobbled hill on the left, go up that to another cobbled road with the jobcentre at the bottom. There is a car park there for £6 p/d.
Or there are a couple of multi-storeys off the ring road for about 1/2 that price but a few minutes further walk. The Exchange shopping centre car park is good but sometimes full. If it is just one hearing you might get away with parking in Asda for free, about 5 mins or so walk away from the venue.
I was under the impression that the location of tribunal members parking was something which ought not to be disclosed?
I was unaware of that Mike, have removed.
Noted.
I think it is an issue, although at some venues, it will often be obvious who parks where. There is also a certain inevitability to both clerks and security guards giving the information out inadvertently and especially at venues which host both courts and tribunals.
It is planned that the tram will be extended from East Didsbury to Stockport!
Have to say when I repped at Rochdale one time, I parked at Levenshulme Station and got the train.
