exporting benefits within the EEA
Thu 07-Oct-04 10:25 AM

I have a client, aged 62. He moved to the UK in 2002 from Netherlands. He voluntary transferred his Netherlands (AWBZ?) pension / 'insurance', which in the Netherlands at that time amounted to 880.86 euros monthly.

When client moved to UK and subsequently he has not been working. He also used to get a 'holiday premium' in the Netherlands of 44.35 Euros, which apparently he was supposed to collect in May of each year.

My client believes that the pension office in Newcastle receive this Insurance/ Pension from the Netherlands Pension Dept. He is only receiving Pension Credit (stand amount for single person £105.45)

Basically is this right - or is he entitled to get his Netherlands pension/ insurance exported to this country

Thank you. Alex Killick
