Money Program
Mon 04-Jun-07 03:37 PM

Sorry that this is going to sound very vague but the customer who asked me the question was vague. She has heard something on a money program on Radio 4 stating that women who were pregnant and working in 1964 are likely to have missed out on something but she can't remember what it was. Does anyone out there know anything about this?

i think she might be talking about HRP. i caught the tail end of something on the car radio- sorry to be vague also, but there is a row between some organisation which i didn't catch and the DWP about inadequate records of HRP resulting in loss of pension for women, with the organisation claiming from a research sample that many thousands of women had lost out, and a DWP minister claiming nonsense! our record-keeping system is very safe, and your stats are rubbish, and nothing like lots of people are affected, so there.

any help? : )

oops forgot - i think the main issue was child benefit, and home responsibility protection for periods of child benefit awards.
