'Peanuts' symbolise both the current level of Benefits and the proposed April increase of 1%. Peanuts will be distributed outside selected Job Centres to emphasise the point. The aim is to raise awareness of the poverty level of Benefits and the miserly uprating which widens the gulf between rich and poor.'
