IB/IS appeal - entitlement to help with housing costs pending outcome Tue 08-Jul-08 12:43 PM
Hello, I have a client who has been deemed capable of work following her PCA. She was getting IB plus an IS top up including help with her mortgage costs. Both IB and IS have stopped. Have put in an appeal, and DWP has told client they will pay IS at the reduced rate pending the appeal outcome. Does client still get her housing costs paid as well? Have been looking in CPAG book but can't find the answer!

Reg 22A of the IS Gen regs states that the 20% reduction is in respect of the personal allowance of the applicable amount only. Therefore any other additions such as premiums and housing costs determined by following Schedules will be added on as normal. Hope this helps!
