I have received a query from a British National who has been resident in Australia for over 30 years but qualifies for a frozen State Retirement Pension from this country. She visits this country at least once a year and has heard that whilst she is here she can apply to have her Pension increased. Has anyone heard of this and if so what does she have to do to get the increase?

You need to get hold of a National Insurance Series form number NI38 - Social Security Abroad. This explains about this and says that if you visit the UK you can get the higher rate but it goes back down to the lower rate when you leave the UK if the stay was temporary.
