HB for students between courses
Wed 03-Oct-07 02:58 PM

Dear Friends:

I have a client who is a full time student at university. At the end of the last academic year he abandonned BA Photography and transferred to BA Digital Media which began this month (both courses at the same uni, different departments).

A condition of the move, set by his current digital media dept. tutors, was that he past first year photography BA. This he did and was accepted onto the digital media course at the start of the second year of a three year course.

Does this mean he has abandonned one course for another and thus can claim HB for the summer vacation?

Thanks

Dan

Hiya,

my understanding of how transfers work is that he will not have had a gap between courses but will have remained on the first course up to the point that he was transferred to the current course even if this happened the following September.
