Need help with Benefit related queries
Wed 19-Sep-07 11:23 AM

I am looking for help with some benefit related resources. I would be thankful to you if you could give me some online resources where I can master my knowledge in relation to state benefits which are applicable to various client groups.

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,

Vamsi

Access to our toolkit, swopshop, updater, and benefits rates areas is free.

Details of our subscription based news and briefcase (commissioner summaries) areas are available here.

Links to all these areas can be found on the blue menu bar at the top of every rightsnet page.

Can i also point you in the direction of the DA website which has a variety of resources, including basic information about different benefits (see 'alphabetical description of all benefits' button) as well as guidance as to what people in different situations can claim (see 'claiming benefits' button) e.g. lone parents, sick and disabled, pregnant, etc.

And if you want something to read in the bath or on the bus, you can't beat the good old CPAG handbook, available from all good bookshops at a staggeringly affordable price. Personally I think you can get a lot more info a lot quicker from a book than a computer, and snuggle down with a cat and a cup of coffee while you're at it: plus you don't get RSI from using the mouse.

The Independent Review Service have lots of stuff to do with the discretionary social fund, including very comprehensive self-instruction packs.
