I wonder if anybody can advise the next step:

I have an urgent case pending and duly faxed TC 689 to the relevant number. I was phoned back within hours and told the authority was entered. I phoned the helpline and discussed the case.
I made arrangements to phone back 4 days later as I was told that I could then be told when payment would go out and for what period.
Duly phoned back and was told there is no authority on file, explained, was advised that my best course of action was to re fax the authority which |I duly did with explanatory note.

Phone again 2 days later, still no authority, ask if there is a customer relation number or person I can talk to to see why the authority was withdrawn and delayed further. Because I feel that a matter like this is more about the procedure than the case itself. I am told they have no such number to give
The number I have for external relations is unobtainable.

This has happened to me a couple of times. It seems that authorisations can be logged in odd places on their system. On both occasions I insisted that our authorisation was definitely there, they were just unable to find it, and they eventually tracked it down somewhere or other...

yes this seem to have been the case. I gave them another try this am and no problem again; no explanation though on why the previous 2 did not find it.
