I phoned the Jobcentre Plus contact centre at Dundee today. I asked if I could arrange a call back for my client.

The adviser said yes, but that he could only accept my client's telephone number from my client, becuase he doesn't know who she is!!

How stupid is that?


Anyone else got any daft stories about the contact centres?

A man walks into a contact centre and says "can you help me out"?

The officer says "certainly, which way did you come in"?

My mum in law (MIL) is deaf, so i rang on her behalf...usual story,

can i speak to her...

no shes deaf, so cant answer u...

no i have to have her permission....

but she cant hear what you are saying to her....

can you just ask her to make a noise down the phone...

i never knew that a grunt down the phone alleviated all data protection problems!!!!!!!
