Unusual query, cl was an asylum seeker in later 90's and was granted full status. Cl is in FT work and wished to sort out and buy unpaid NI credit going back to 1996. Question I have is whilst cl was getting financial support through NASS (not sure if it was called NASS then) voucher scheme and being paid HB as an asylum seeker would there have been any entitlement to NI stamp credit?
I don't know where to look for this information so your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Also what is interesting is that after being granted refugee status cl claims income based JSA but did not have NINO, DWP refused to issue NINO until client finds a job. So I am not sure what would have happened to cl NI stamp entitlement whilst cl was signing on without NINO? I thought you must have NINO in order to sign on, !!!
