I have a client who was off on sick leave for exactly 20 weeks after which she returned to work. She then worked for another 8 weeks at her usual 30 hours before dropping to 24 this week as she was getting too tired due to a heart condition. Her WTC has just ended. If she claims now it is more than 8 weeks since her 20 weeks on sick pay ended.

Is it possible for her to get onto WTC with the disability element (her only option working 24 hours) using the fast tracked rules?

Does she need a new claim?
